abbreviated father's day.

due to a tournament in longview, our father's day was quite simple and extremely abbreviated. the kids picked out a few things for him, which he opened with a little too much excitement (mostly a show, it turns out). he took back their big gift, a hiking pack that bw picked out. he seemed happy with his new loveseat and gas-powered weed whacker. we made it to sacrament and headed to longview for a long day of games. mw didn't seem to mind a bit. other than playing ball in the backyard with everyone, i think he would rather watch the kids play ball, any kind of ball, than do anything else. such a good dad.
