mw golfed again today. luckily it was a local course. unfortunately, he has gotten in with a group of guys who think it's only golf if you play eighteen holes. i'm more of a nine-hole-kind-of-spouse. later in the day, a giant sea turtle swam right up to the seawall at our resort. we watched as a few more adventurous dads grabbed their snorkel gear and headed out with it. mw and i finally took my mom up on her offer to keep the kids while we went out for dinner. we ate at a great place right on the water. we watched a fantastic sunset and enjoyed a piece of hula pie. (a few days later, we went back for seconds.) we walked around whaler's wharf and caught the end of a local dance show. we ran into mw's partner and his family and we realized what a small community it really is on that beach. i think i could definitely live there, part time at the very least.
