mw flew to oahu for a day of "meetings." and by meetings, i mean golf at a very upscale course. after hitting the pool for a couple of hours, my mom and i took the kids back to kaanapali and spent the day. the kids played in the surf and swam until we dragged them out of the water and back to the whaler's wharf shopping area for a few souvenirs and sodas.

the kids were glad when mw got back. aw told me that she knew there was a good reason i wasn't as much fun as dad. it's because someone has to be the parent and make rules and watch out for everyone and dad can't do it because he's too busy having fun. nice. also, we did some pretty hardcore sleeping every night. all over the place.
