the bday party.

i feel like i say the same thing every time we have a birthday, dance recital, football/soccer/baseball game, etc. our friends do a really great job of filling in when our families cannot be here. at the last minute we called four of our favorite families and invited them for pizza and john's bakery cupcakes. they all made it. our house was loud, crazy, and a complete mess by the time everyone left. but when the party starts at 7pm and the last people don't leave until after 11pm, and there are eleven children running wild all over the house, there's bound to be a mess. it was well worth it. we ate every last piece of pizza, every lick of mayan chips and salsa, and drank eight two liters. we had a great time and are thankful for friends that are always willing to help us celebrate.
