a few funny moments.

during ballet the two little boys and i sit in the car, watching aw through the floor-length glass wall, eating snacks, and giggling. last thursday bw was driving his car along the dash. it fell to the window. he asked me repeatedly to get it. i was reading, sipping a dmd, not paying much attention. finally, rather forcefully, i told him to get it himself. he looked at me and said, "i just can't, mom." he leaned over, put his head flat on the dash, and slid his arm as far as it would go. not far enough. his head kept getting caught in that tight, little angle created by the window and the dash. he quite literally could not reach the car.

i often have to wake baby g to pick up the kids at school. he is very soft and gooey, sometimes hard to wake. i very much love these few moments of warm cheeks and stink-good breath. on one particularly chilly day last week, i found him, fast asleep, with his sock pulled perfectly over his little hand like a glove.

speaking of chilly days . . . bw and i have started making treats. last week we made chocolate chip cookie bars and homemade caramels. i went a little 'mw' with the chocolate chips, so they are a little much for me. but the caramels? oh so good.

aw had some fun of her own. she made a smoothie stand with my costco boxes. it took nearly two hours and required her absolute and total attention. aka, peace and quiet for the boys and i. cw made the smoothies. he is good to her. even if he would never admit it.
