june 28-30 tourney. state championships.

the last weekend of june saw us in kennewick for the 9u state championships. the boys were pretty excited and it showed the first night during the skills tests. cw played first in the round the horn contest. they won with a time under 17 seconds, with no errors. their prize was a new ball glove for each kid in the event. cw made a great scoop save during the game and all the parents and coaches went crazy. his grin was ear to ear.

the boys played great. cw was unreal on first and solid at the plate. he was consistent and laid down two phenomenal bunts for rbis. i lost count of his hits and rbis. i think all the parents were able to idle down and just enjoy watching the boys play. they were in control the whole weekend and were just fun to watch.

gma and gpa wall met us in kennewick, which was awesome. and aw has made a couple of really great little friends, both little sisters of boys on the team. there are so many little brothers and sisters on the team (and a few older ones that are super tolerant of the kids hanging on them). it has really been fun for the younger kids to be together on the weekends. i honestly think they look forward to the drives, staying in hotels, playing at the ballparks, and eating out. i know i do.
