the 4th. 2012.

the 4th was kind of a bummer here. it wasn't super warm. big shock. two years ago we wore sweats, pants and tops, on the 4th. i think it seemed a little more depressing because the rest of the country was in the throes of a massive heat wave. the highlight of this year's festivities was the arrival of my family for a weeklong stay. that, and mw splurged and dropped $35 on fireworks. big spender.

on a more positive note, the older i get the more i appreciate the blessings that come with living in such a fantastic country. i am happy and healthy. my family is safe and happy and healthy. what more is there?
