stadium of fire and park city.

so i don't love park city. it has great outlet shopping and some neat places to eat. but. we went on the saturday of fourth of july weekend, in 95 degree heat, with seven children. the lines were long, the sno cones melted before we could eat them, and we couldn't take gw because we didn't have enough adults in our group. and then, after uncle ben waited in line for forty minutes for the roller coaster, someone apparently fell off or some annoying little trifle and we didn't get to go on the coaster. luckily, b and b don't live terribly far and the drive was short enough to get us back to their house in time to swim and then hit the stadium of fire fireworks on campus. i have to say, ordering pizza and packing snacks and drinks and blankets and camping on the provo high soccer field was a great call. i don't know who made it but i loved it! the kids played frisbee and wiffle ball and volleyball while we enjoyed the mild weather and pounded four papa john's pizzas and a couple of boxes of breadsticks. the kids snuggled together with matty and uncle ben on the blankets during the show. and we carried them back to the car, very sleepy, and very happy. it was a great, utah-wall-summer evening.
