we have had a lot of fun with gma and gpa wall this week. we went to the ed&aileen dairy. not to be confused with edaleen ice cream. oh wait. it is to be confused with edaleen ice cream because it's the same thing. they were just too lazy to put the "&" sign and the letter "i" on the label. a typo? or just a dumb idea? the latter, i think. anyway, the ice cream was delicious. the cow barns smelled a little bit like fresh poo. i'm just glad we walked through the barns before we ordered ice cream. i don't think i could have enjoyed my ice cream with the smell of sweet dung filling my nostrils. it would have been like eating fresh poo. that's how much the smell infiltrates your senses. it fills your lungs. clings to your clothes. nestles into your freshly washed, still damp hair. we also trudged out to silver lake to see the location of the infamous scout camp of matt's youth. you are correct. i was not that interested. but we went. and it was gorgeous. we saw an old growth tree. and it was huge. we also strolled along the lake shore. i was delighted to learn that due to the insane quantities of duck poo in the lake, anyone who swims in the lake, at any given time, is at risk of contracting swimmers' itch. yahoo. more to come on the week with the gparents.
