i am sending out thank yous, via this blog, in case i don't get them out this week in person. so many great friends have expressed their concern for ainsley and i am so grateful for all of her little friends who have stopped by to see her and dropped off delicious treats. it has been a humbling experience to see the love our friends and her friends have for her. in no particular order...casey and addie- the ice cream was great (i ate all of it) and ains loved the huge coloring book and movies that you dropped off.
adri and myleigh- the dora band aid was a hit and so was the puppy chow.
rebecca and caden- the treats were consumed in record time and ains thought it was great that caden wrote her last name on the card.
julie and kids- i must admit, i am afraid to even open the box of magnets; it is just a mess waiting to happen. the play dough has entertained her for hours.
karen and mikey- the cupcakes were great. she ate the icing and i ate the cake.
gma ellie and gpa gary- i am afraid to put batteries in the microphone. but she loves the book.
every day i am thankful that ainsley drives me nuts. today she told me that she wanted to move away. she cried when coop got his shots for kindergarten (even he didn't cry this time). she told me that corn makes her throw up, even though she ate it last night and at lunch. she changed her clothes 4 times. she open hand smacked coop in the face at walmart because he looked at her. she laughed at him when he told us that he wants to work in a restaurant when he is a dad (he digs the dad in the movie robots). she told me jeans are for ugly people (i keep praying that the hating-jeans thing is just a phase). she picked out hideous hi-ho-kitty-o band aids at the store (translation: hello kitty). and yet, i have determined to keep her. forever. if she'll have me.

What a crazy accident with a happy ending. I'm so glad that Ainsley is doing well!! If Drew was in Indy, he could have been the lucky ENT to stitch her up. =)
I am glad she is ok...when I read the end of that all I think of is riding in the back of the car at Christmas hearing her talk about wanting ribbons and bows for Christmas...
