apparently cooper is the funniest person beckett has ever met. if this video doesn't show up you will have no idea what i'm talking about. we saw the derm the other day and becks does not have mersa. he has molluscum dermatitis, a yeast growing on his bum, and an infected case of ecsema on his face. what a relief. i know it sounds like a lot but it is all very treatable. mersa would have been a completely different story. so yeah! becks will get better.
there is something else that has been troubling me lately. i am well aware that we do not live in the plush part of town, but i have always felt relatively safe in our neighborhood. i think those days of blissful naivete are gone. some of the other dental and law students have had their cars broken in to, their things stolen from their back yards, and their bikes stolen from their front lawns. luckily we have not been subject to such atrocities, yet. so the dilemma is this... do we move to the north side where the neighborhoods are safer, the schools are great, and the overall quality of life is better? or do we stay here and tough it out for 22 months? i go back and forth. the problem with moving to the north side is that housing costs are double what they are here. traffic sucks royally up there too. on the other hand, it is closer to my mom's house. and next year when cooper goes to kindergarten i wouldn't have to worry about him being kidnapped and held for ransom by some hoodlum on the bus. then again, we could afford the ransom if we stayed on this side of town. i don't know what to do.
oh yeah, matt was so pumped because we went upstairs to go to bed at 10pm last night... and then i talked to him until midnight. apparently this makes me a mean spirited person. such is life. he knew what he was getting in to. or did he?
