coop and pain

ains on the beam

too cute in the leotard
unfortunately i have been bitten by the stephanie meyer bug. valeri brought "twilight" with her when she came to visit and i couldn't put it down. i'm dying to read the next one. a friend recommended it a few months ago and i laughed when she told me it was about vampires. but it's not what you think. anyway, i am an aunt again. we got a call yesterday that lucy was sick and she was being induced and i woke up this morning and matt told me that addison ellen had been born early this morning. yeah! i am a little upset that no pictures have been sent my way -patience is not my strong suit- but i am thrilled that lucy and the baby are doing well. i can't believe dave is a daddy. it makes me feel really old. i wish i could be there. coop and ains are already asking when we get to go see the baby. matt and coop are going out november 1st for a football game but the rest of us don't know when we'll get to see the new baby. wall family, if you are out there, i need to see pictures!
ainsley started gymnastics last week and it was priceless. she picked out two pink leotards and footless tights and we headed to the Y. they started out doing front and back somersaults and then moved on to the balance beam. she sat quietly (i know. we couldn't believe it either.) and listened intently and then smiled shyly when it was her turn. no wonder she has people eating out of the palm of her hand. if she treated matt and i the way she treated the teeny bopper high school cheerleaders teaching her class we would be putty in her hands. thank heavens for small miracles. by the time they got to the uneven bars she was really pumped. she grabbed ahold of the bar and swung her feet up, rested them on the bar upside down, and then flipped all the way around. it was great. the rest of the kids were just swinging from the bar, but not our little show off. coop started basketball on saturday with matt and loved it. it's just a camp but he thinks he is so important. when they gave him the camp tshirt to wear he tucked it in. nerd alert! beckett has a rash face again so we made another trip to the dermatologist. matt's busy, but what's new.
i read a friend's blog the other day and she wrote about how funny her 3 year old daughter's prayers were and i have to share a few a ainsley's recent ones.
ainsley: bless that we have home family evening. i see the gate for beckett. and thank you the potato to play game. and music for dancing the ocean one (jack johnson cd). in the name of jesus, amen.
ainsley: thank you dave have a baby addison ellen. thank you hot dog and yucky mac and cheese that mom make me eat with crackers on it, ew. thank you pink applesauce with strawberry and banana inside so it's not applesauce. and we not go to bed later. amen.
it is quite comical to be present at these sweet little prayers. coop whispers words of encouragement during the prayers so needless to say, we are not fostering an incredibly reverent atmosphere. on the positive side, football season has started and our weekends are now filled to the brim with college football. there is no better time of year than fall. and since matt has decided to travel to provo for a football game i am left with two tickets to the browns/seahawks game. if anyone is interested... it is a soldout game. maybe by november the browns will suck so much that quinn will be named the starter. in which case, i might just travel to cleveland by myself.
the audio is a little off- it's my first time okay!
