bhyb, game one.

cw was the first hitter last night. he swung on the first pitch, of course. a grounder just to the left of first. he hustled it out. and slid head first into the bag. he was just barely out. he popped up, covered in mud. all over his face, smeared on his uni from neck to feet. everyone cheered. he ran back to the dugout with a big smile on his face.

we sat for a few minutes behind the plate. it was so muddy that the ball splashed mud and sand all over us when it hit the ground behind the plate.
the game ended in a tie. cw was two for three.
