camano island.

we had a great day out at camano island with mw's family. aunt becky and jeff and their kids, aunt barbie and dave, jim and jan, and uncle tom and sue were all there for the weekend. the weather was perfect. it would be easy to forget the horribleness of may and june. i said easy. not impossible. is there a place on earth with better photo backdrops? if yes, i have not been there.














1. gw in playing in the sound at camano island.
2. aw in the water, with the cascade mountains in the background.
3. playing in the water at low tide.
4. she spent most of the day in the water.
5. cw was a little more cautious. the sound floor is not overly smooth and he definitely complained about it.
6. bw decided to keep his mouth closed after a few big gulps.
7. i think i took more pictures of her than anyone else.
8. sooo glad to have this hunk home.
9. i forgot to put a swim diaper on when we first went in. it anchored him to the ground for the first thirty minutes.
10. unfortunately gw did not keep his mouth shut. every other time i looked at him he was gagging on sea water.
11. gw on the bulkhead. it would be hard to really relax there. the drop from the bulkhead to the beach is about eight feet.
12. the tide brought in very cold water. mw took the kids in the canoe to the raft. kind of lazy.
13. cw packed two baseball gloves, a soccer ball, and a football. all bases covered.
14. from the look on aw's face it is obvious she did not want to leave. everyone saw that really special, i'm-glad-she's-your's-and-not-mine side of her.
