friday followed thursday and all was well.
happy 2nd birthday bw!
we love you to the moon!
we woke up and took a few early morning bday pictures, which always turn out horrible. but we do it anyway. we took cw to school and then ran in to the dental school to take mw his powercord that i may have left plugged in behind the couch. when we arrived at the school we were greeted on the sidewalk by a man that cracked aw up and totally frightened bw.

mw dressed as a russian dentist for halloween, complete with furry mustache, shopka, soviet tie with hammer and sickle, tight pants, and big glasses. bw didn't recognize him until he took off the hat and the glasses. and even then i think he only knew who it was because he recognized the voice. mw tried to kiss me with the yuck-stache and i decided that it is really a blessing in disguise that he cannot grow facial hair. after getting cleaned up we headed to target to let bw pick out a gift. he chose a small tricycle. he cannot ride it because he doesn't know how to peddle, but oh, how he loves to sit on it. he thought he was in heaven, as he got to skip the nap and play outside. while aw watched the new tinkerbell movie, i followed bw around outside. he just ran up and down the sidewalk. for 30 minutes. he's nuts. mw came home early and picked up cw and then the kids played out back until it was time to trick or treat. there weren't a lot of people handing out candy, but they seemed to enjoy themselves. aw went to every door. cw was too shy to leave mw's side, and bw relaxed in the stroller with his baba and anky (blanket).

we had donatos and cake after tot and then let bw open his presents. he was not that impressed with opening his gifts, but he did love his new toys. from aw he got a play phone that you can record messages into. so we have spent the last few days listening to "librararary." bw's favorite word. cw got him a big, super-soft anky to snuggle on cold nights. he also got a new green shopping cart to call his own. his big sister does not share hers very well. and we added a new growling, walking dinosaur to the herd that we have already collected. it's odd to think about life without bw. he really has become everyone's baby. he's been the baby in our family now for two years, longer than anyone else has claimed that title on my side of the family, and he has fit into the role of the baby quite well. even em and sawyer try to take care of him and talk to him like a baby. he came into our lives at the perfect time; we were all ready for a new baby. cw thinks it's so great to have a buddy and aw loves to take care of him. he is such an interesting mix of all of us. at times i can really see aw when i look at him, but the boyish things he does are so very cw. we love him more than we could have imagined and can't wait to see what he thinks of his new little brother.we love you roo!
