our easter.

easter has become something very awesome at our house. we broke the news about the easter bunny last year when we were at disneyland over easter. they were very okay with it. so it has morphed into a celebration with true meaning. we read in 1 nephi about the crucifixion (ironically we were on that chapter anyway) and talked about what christ's sacrifice means for all of us today. as i find it truly fantastic to be part of an eternal family with a smoking hot guy and four great kids, i always bring all gospel discussion around to this. and it works for the kids because we all like each other and want to do the things that will keep us together. mw and i bore our testimonies of the savior and how his life and ultimate sacrifice made it possible for all men to return to their heavenly father as eternal families. and honestly, if this was the only doctrine our church preached, that of eternal families, i would be on board. i am grateful for a savior who loves me and wants me to be happy. for a savior that has given me the agency to choose, each day, to be happy. i am so blessed.

though mw had been marinating steaks all day, we jumped at the chance to spend easter with our friends. it was great to be in their home and share a special day with them. we rounded out the day with a little kickball in the back. cw always seems to be mw's main target. and sadly, i believe that mw shows no mercy when determining how hard he should throw at him.
