the odds and ends of christmas.

1. new shoes for christmas. is there anything better than new shoes for christmas? the two on the left are courtesy of gma connie and piperlime.
2. new dishes. to make a long and boring story short, i didn't want to waste my time in indiana wrapping crappy dishes in bubble paper, so i left them on the shelves in my cabinets. we have been eating on plastic plates and drinking from plastic cups, very large and pop-delightful plastic cups, for four months. so it was time. thank you roger and joyce.
3. new dresses. aw looked darling for church in her new hanna andersson play dress from gma connie. perfect color for her eyes.
4. matty and gw have been doing lots of snuggling.
5. gw has developed a love for pancakes. he will sit in his chair and eat five or six.
6. new ugg boots. they finally came. and it was worth the wait. they smell divine and feel diviner.
7. bw has been crashing in the car every day. so we just toss him on the couch in the middle of the chaos.

11. tuesday morning the four boys got haircuts. even grue. who has very little hair. but it is wispy and thin and yuck. matt was good enough to run before he had his hair cut. so i got to run my fingers through sweaty, greasy, smelly hair. bw wanted a bath in the sink after his haircut. done.
