we had a delicious turkey dinner with all the fixings. the fixings. what does that really mean? it doesn't make sense. i took no pictures. i don't know if anyone did. but it was a great meal and a great day. i love my little family. i am thankful for our utah family, the walls and the hawleys. i am grateful that they are only a day's ride away. i am thankful for ben and brit and their newly finished basement and fantastically terrific drop down projector. i am grateful that brit and i went to toys-r-us at midnight, thanksgiving day eve. and that we stood in line for two hours. and finally gave up, ten people from the door, because they weren't letting anyone else in. and it was freezing outside and my feet hurt really bad. and i am thankful for my mom and sister in indiana who love us. we love them. but i think our dinner was better than their's. i am thankful that i have been able to see baby finn every couple of months and watch him get bigger and chubbier, just like weed watched coop. i am grateful that baby thatch is healthy and calm. and i'm grateful for baby griffey and the wonderful experience it was to be in the temple with him and his family. i am thankful for my dad. he did so much to make this time of year special. like carrying our coats and bags at the mall. cutting down the perfect tree. tolerating my mother's every-surface-must-be-covered-with-christmas-knick-knacks mentality. i love my family. my matty. my coopy. my pain. my roody fiffenger. my grayson pizzle pizzle. dumb names, i know. i am thankful for the gospel. for the strength and peace it gives me every day. for the opportunity to speak last week about gratitude. and i am thankful that i now get to teach in relief society because of that talk. we learned a valuable lesson there, didn't we. don't be overly-wonderful and insightful the first time you speak in a new ward. i love this time of year. i am thankful.
