happy birthday addie!
i can't believe you are two already. the next year will be a long one for your parents. and baby gavin.
happy birthday baby gavin!
you are well and wonderful and mellow. three great things to be.
gma ellie. happy anniversary of your birth, many decades ago. many. many, many. we love you and can't wait to see you next week.
we have been inundated with influenzae a or b. we are not sure which, as the swab results are unable to accurately pinpoint which strain of the lovely virus our dear, sweet cooper has contracted. all is well. the other kids are good. no signs or symptoms.
my advice to you and yours: get the shot sooner. rather than later. because once you have it, there's no going back. and children under the age of one cannot take the antiviral that they prescribe. apparently the medication has the propensity to "severely penetrate the brain tissue, thereby causing serious mental deficiency and/or death." very gloom and doom. don't you think? it was a very heavy visit to the pediatrician. when the ma came into the room carrying three syringes i think coop was honestly grateful to have the flu. he was deemed "unfit" for the vaccination. ainsley cowered in the corner in the toy box. i think those rabies vaccinations really got to her. vivid nightmares. she threw poor becks under the speeding bus by volunteering him to go first. he had no idea what was going on so he climbed onto my lap and pulled up his pant leg. he later tried to punch ains in the face for her treachery. grady took it the best. i postulate that the thick layers of fat on his thighs lovingly protected his teeny little muscles housed inside said thighs. coop is better. after three days of sick coop i was feeling the strain. i mean, i thought there were only so many things you could talk about with a six year old. boy, was i wrong. we have traveled to conversational depths many can only dream of. he is quite the raconteur.
i put an e on the end of influenzae because it gives it a very macabre, old english feel.
