before cw started school the dad promised the daughter that he would take her to "build a bear," easily his least favorite place in the world. after chuck e cheese. today turned out to be the day, as he only had patients this morning. and good grief, was she excited! she picked out a new outfit, purchased just the other day and asked me to do her hair in piggies. it's daddy's favorite, ya know, mom? she got all gussied up and was waiting at the door when he came home. from the bits and pieces that i gathered from the two-peas-in-a-pod they were venturing to old mcdonald's for happy meals and double cheeseburgers, before heading off to the mall. why does he always get to do the fun stuff with the kids? i'm just sitting here, amazed at how little is on daytime tv, while bw naps. bored. tired. but not tired enough to nap. and thinking about maybe having another piece of the oreo-fudge-ice cream cake that i made yesterday.
