the week that will not end.

this week is supposed to be the worst of the two years. early mornings, long classes, late nights bending wire. so the kids and i took the opportunity to visit mom. coop had an appt. at the dermatologist on the north side and i had an eye appt. in muncie, so we headed north early tuesday morning. coop' s finally getting rid of the molusscums, the "yuckies," as he calls them. mom was paranoid that i was developing glaucoma, random yes, so i told her that i would go to the eye doctor. she read that the medication i take for asthma, advair, puts young people at risk of developing glaucoma. paranoia runs deep. and unfortunately i inherited that trait from her. and the double chin. we decided to stay for the night, as matty doesn't get home until late and the kids love staying at mom's. it was nice to get out of the pool routine. don't get me wrong, i love the pool. but even the pool gets monotonous. we went and got ice cream and stayed up late snuggling on the couch. when we got up the next morning everyone was gone, so we hung out in our pjs and watched cartoons. then we went to concannon's. every town needs a concannon's. soft, warm donuts. thumb print cookies in every color. the kids didn't want to come home, of course, but coop and pain both fell asleep in the car. i love going to mom's. it's always nice to be taken care of.
