this is my first go at this, so please, be kind. matty and I went to the IU ortho graduation dinner last night at the Columbia Club downtown, right on the Circle. they have valet parking, but it's like, $15, so we decided that we would just find a spot nearby. good thing. they probably would have refused to park our tan Caravan. when we walked out after the dinner the valets were bringing all the cars up. not a single van in sight. jags, yes. bmws, uh-huh. range rovers, yup. vans, nicht. they probably wouldn't have even given us the option of parking it with the other cars. anyway, the dinner was nice. the chicken was pink, but the sprinkling of crab on top was great. as was my water. it was either red or white wine or water. fill me up. i have never drank so much water in one sitting in all my life. i literally floated out of there. when matt's classmates found out we had three kids they were speechless. speechless. talk about a conversation killer. we took advantage of my poor mother and went to a late movie. it was the first non-animated one in a very long time. like, eons. but i have to tell you, it was well worth the wait. harry potter was really, really good. fast forward to saturday morning and matt studying for a test on monday. we spent the better part of the day at the pool. what would we do without the pool? it's rhetorical. i don't even want to know. pasty skin, ew. it just gives me the creeps thinking about it. everything looks better with a tan. my extremely bushy eyebrows, hairy legs, midsection chub that will not go away no matter how much i wish it would. even the blisters on the kids' faces from the other day at the pool look better because they're tan underneath. about the kids... what can i say? coop and pain are like two peas in a pod. they play for hours at the pool and ainsley teases coop unmercifully when we're home. pain got one of those 8 foot trampolines that's two feet off the ground for her birthday and they are a crack up on it. she just kind of runs around in a circle near the edge and coop tries to bounce her off. he has been successful on a couple of occasions. once she landed on the bike and the other time, not so lucky, on the air conditioner. becks it really moving around and he is by far the cutest kid yet. i mean, it's really unfair to other kids his age. anyway, life is good. years married, 7. years in college while married, 7 and counting.
