it's finally here!

bw has been asking us every day for weeks, "when does soccer start? why does cw get to play all the time?" it's finally here, bw! bw hits the field running. he claps obsessively during all water breaks. he alternates between wearing his hat, not wearing his hat, wanting gloves, taking off his sweatshirt. and though it rained his entire first practice and most of his second, i didn't mind. he is in his element. he loves to run. he loves to run fast. he loves to bump into the other kids and get dirty. except his hands. he doesn't like it when his hands are dirty. after scoring a couple of goals and running super, duper fast, he came off the field and gave cw a huge high five. cw didn't disappoint. he rubbed his head and told him he was the best player on the team.
