those of you who know me are not surprised at the frequent backdrop changes. i move my furniture once or twice a month. it was inevitable that my insatiable need to rearrange things would spill over into this, wall manor. but that is not what this entry is about.
we got up and got the kids to school on the "ween." then becks and i headed for mickey-ds, where we ate too many biscuits with strawberry jam and greasy, disgusting hashbrowns. tj maxx beckoned to us and we obliged. that store is horrible. i never go in there with a purpose or a list of things i need, so i always leave with things i don't need. ains went home with macey, and coop and becks and i headed to the derm. happy first birthday beckett; you're eyes are swollen shut again. i am now on a first name basis with the guy at walgreens. i can't imagine what he thinks we have growing at our house. in the past week we have filled scripts for an anti-fungal, a steroid, an antibiotic prescribed for mersa (the turbo-resistant strain of staph), and now an anti-histamine. beckett's body should be revolting against all the chemicals, but he's probably so high he can't process what's going on. so the dr. recommended that we treat one side of his face and not the other to see if the creams are working. his poor face is like a science project gone very, very wrong. when we got home the bday boy napped for a few hours and woke up looking better than he had all day. it's amazing what a good 4 hour nap will do for a kid. when matty got home we ordered donatos and got the kids ready to go t-or-t. becks sat in the wagon and ains wore the pink flamingo, as i was able to convince her that the tink costume was dirty. the red power ranger led the way and we were off.
never mind the sour look on pain's face or the giant... beak on her head. coop refused to carry his candy bag, ainsley wanted to be held, and sweet beckett spent the evening chewing on a glow stick. we went to a few houses, saw a few friends, and ended the evening of fun at about 7:30p. i made becks a nobake cookie cake and he ate one of the layers. i ate the other three. he loved the activity table we got him and by bedtime he had figured out how to climb on top of it. ains and coop cheered him on. it's nice that they are so supportive of one another.

happy 1st birthday becketts!
